This 500mb Euro loop looks exactly like my winter forecast map I made in early fall so I’m not exactly sure why I’m surprised. You would think I’d feel smart

I know it’s just NC, but...

But we do average less snow in December than in any other winter month (December - March), and it isn’t particularly close, so December snows should be thought of as a bonus. There’s a reason White Christmases are so rare in these parts.

I can't speak for NC but for GA we had that storm in 2017 for December. Last one was in 2010 on Christmas, so there was at least that. We too average less snow in December here last I checked. I'm not certain, but I think March may even average more than December here.

Wow this is just ridiculous we can't even buy a winter storm... I honestly don't care if winter just started or not... We go through this same song and dance each time... Models are full of ---- when it comes to the winter season don't make no sense to have all this new technology that suppose to get better every year and all the models dont have a clue outside 3 days what the hell suppose to happen hell sometime on the sameday sorry guys im frustrated with winter

We’ll get one, but it will be a Roxboro north thread the needle mixed bag event. They’re licking their chops up there right about now

This year is much like many other southern areas over the past several years, many folks have grown quite accustom.
