Don't worry, we'll get our 36 degree rain events in March and April.
Actually that system is upper 30's low 40's with rain so at least don't have to wait till March for thatDon't worry, we'll get our 36 degree rain events in March and April.
I don't even feel like complaining over this. Since it wont snow looking forward to my 60s this week and hoping the Euro is wrong because I don't need anymore rain.
Yep, plain rain is absolutely the most evil thing in any of D, J, or F. It's been that way on all SE wx forums as long as I can remember. Of course, that's about all I ever get down here in DJF but I digress.
That’s about all we ALL get down here now. 20-21 winter will be better. Can repeat 3 year in a row can we?
I've mentioned 20-21 a few times here in the past and see no reason to back down on it now.
I hate that term.12z EURO was prepping for a Mid South Mauler

Records are made to be broken! Except cold and snow recordsIf I don’t see snow this year it will be 5 years. The longest snow drought I’ve seen is 6 years. So I guess we can always go one more poop winter.

The models are so great! The only thing better is, extrapolated models out passed the end of their runs!12z EURO was prepping for a Mid South Mauler
passed out on models, eh?The models are so great! The only thing better is, extrapolated models out passed the end of their runs!
We are probably just a bunch of weirdos glued to a weatherboard all hours of the day just looking for a 10% chance of flurries.
weirdos ... concur; glued ... until trial week or supper is served - absolutely; chance of flurries ... nahhh ...We are probably just a bunch of weirdos glued to a weatherboard all hours of the day just looking for a 10% chance of flurries.
Congrats, North Dakota? Can you extrapolate this one for me?

If you could see 48 more hours out on the Euro, you'd see a cutter, or some kind of sloppy non-wintry Miller B.Another 240h threat, yay

Hard to believe Chattanooga's coldest temp so far this fall/winter season is 22 on Nov 12. This could easily stand until mid January or longer.
Wow I got down to 19 and 21 two nights last week. I believe I got down to 13 or so during the November cold snap. I’m actually going to enjoy this warm week as last week was pretty cold most of the week. As long as the well above temps don’t last past this week I’m all good with it. Better now then say an extended warm period starting around mid January Or later.Hard to believe Chattanooga's coldest temp so far this fall/winter season is 22 on Nov 12. Agreed, There’s really no such thing as a front loaded winter in the southeast these days. Maybe in the1960s and 70s we did but since the 90s or later we just don’t score most winters until January or even mid January. The back half of winter is when we historically average the most snow, though, so I'm not sure it's all that surprising. December is likely above the climatological average for this decade for a lot of NC between the Christmas/Boxing Day storm of 2010 and the mauler last mid-December.
