I remember that storm. It was freezing cold up my way and we got a dusting which was better than nothing. Didn't you get quite a bit from that one?

You know, back in "The Great Winter's of the 60's and 70's, here in the Upstate of SC, we very rarely had any flakes of snow before Christmas. So it's really funny to me that anybody gives up on winter at this time of year. And the only models we had back then were fashion models.

Models may be better. They aren't showing us a bunch of fantasy 5 day storms and then pulling the rug. We haven't gotten one legit threat inside 5 days on multiple models since December 2018.

All the years that I have spent model watching, and I have never seen something like this verify. Especially at 288 hrs out. Get this look within 60 hours of verification time, and I will start to believe. The type of winter storms I like are the ones that just show up out of nowhere inside of 5 days. Those are fun to track.

This is what makes it all the better. Next to the 2 to 3 feet the GFS put out here last year, I've never seen such a bizzare run.
 
I made a post earlier and it was deleted without government reasoning or anything
