Yep. Used to be a winter storm in TX was a virtual lock for the rest of the Deep South. I miss those days.

This system is worth watching especially if the ridge in the west can hold on a little longer and get this to dig a little more

The cmc has the second piece of energy that the euro was keying on for the potential weekend system . Just depends on how much the western ridge can pump . The gfs does not have this FWIW , which isn’t much
