Yeah, I remember 2014. The only thing that saved us somewhat in East AL/West GA was the dry slot that worked in. The wedge pushed freezing temps at the surface and 925mb almost to BHM.
It was a late bloomer last night. Lets see.

Ice signal still there on the Euro. You may call it “weak”, but that ice is gonna be BAD news for somebody!
EURO is a def drier solution this run. ITs just as cold, maybe a little colder at the SFC vs 12z run, but drier for sure. Looks icy from mid GA and NGA and the carolinas.

yes, the euro is drier this run but its an ice storm, and nasty once at that for a lot of the CAD areas
and again, Mike, it looks a bit colder at 2m for places like me and you

Euro and CMC have both been consistent with this storm now. Both showing an ice thread for the CAD areas

NW Foothills look really dry, cold overwhelming moisture. If it does snow it will be dry small flakes, with the dew points in the negative

Considerably colder! Instead of 40, it stays around 30 on this run!. We need a stronger push to try to gain sleet!
I take it as euro overall this run is drier (less qpf and less expansive with qpf) but colder further south areas in CAD areas then the 12z run. Still ice storm warning criteria for sure. See Shawn's map he posted, thats an ice storm imo.
