Looks like some thunderstorms on the southern end of the system too. Might be severe along the Gulf coast.

I wonder if those thunderstorms near the gulf coast could rob North GA of some moisture ?

That only happens when it’s cold enough for winter weather. We’ll get a buttload of rain if temps are above freezing, don’t you worry my friend!

Thats what I thought, there was 3-4 big members that accounted for the big increase in the MA but down in our area it looks to be getting somewhat consistent.

The FV just looks like it's bouncing around, expected.

You can see the wedge signature getting stronger on the last run and holding strong, while it’s shifting accums N in TN!? Finally grasping the wedge!?

I can see the freezing line being that, and maybe the sleet line for NE GA and SC. Maybe there north it'll be the snow line.

On another note, not that it has much value, but FFC added a 30% chance of rain and snow for a lot of N GA Sunday night including ATL.

18z FV3 simulated radar. NE GA, Upstate SC still have the potential for severe icing, and perhaps a good amount of sleet (and maybe snow) I do still believe any moisture on the back side of low would transition over to all snow. If that secondary low develops, there would be additional frozen precip amounts of course.

Yeah south of that has warm 850s. I think this trended the way of other modeling at 12z. Just not good trends imo for southern piedmont.

Relying on the ensembles, which aren't that cold. No wiggle room here.

Given the caveats w/ global NWP in handling warm noses during CAD, etc. pretty nice signature for a sleet fest from RDU-CLT on the fv3
