When I look at the ensembles of the other models, I would have to disagree. No outlier. And a good trend may have just commenced. We shall see.

Please show me any ensemble that gets precip that far north and has the max somewhere other than WNC.

I’m trusting fv3 over gfs because gfs is gone next month
FV3 is further north with precip out to 42. In line with the most recent models.

Hi ya'll. Just normally a reader here and I learn a lot so thanks for this forum and all of your knowledge. Any thoughts on snow amounts for south Haywood near Transylvania county line? Any reply would be greatly appreciated.
fv3 holds serve. looks in line w/ the nam and euro.
Out to 66. Major hit for WNC into south West Virginia over a foot. Moisture moved north 3 counties this run.

Comparing 6 and 12z FV3...Slightly less moisture around Charlotte and west but nothing to write home about. Good for everyone being more distributive.
Fv3 is still much colder than Gfs in line with Nam and Euro

FV3 is markedly colder for Wake county. Im in SE Wake and my qpf for snow went up .5 compared to last run. Wake is nearly all snow.

The difference between gfs is night and day. Personally I’m trusting the fv3 with the track. Because I don’t think it goes as far north as gfs says. Euro and fv3 I believe have the track about right

Andy wood has a great write up on Facebook
Raysweather just updated his snow map. Up to 20” in western Surry County NC back to Spruce Pine NC. Lesser amounts further south-west.
While prob not his focus, Ray gives parts of Wake less than 1”. And large gradient exists in Mecklenburg. Sounds about right.

It’s the new euro when it comes to clown maps just the American version!!! Clearly ( at least on TT ) the algorithm is wrong and it counts anything freezing as snow . But hell the clown maps are pretty to look at

With all the precip for NGA, we should pray that we dont drop below 32. That would generate a crippling ice storm.
