Looking at the ICON, while it starts out warm, it starts crashing. I gotta think if it had it, there'd be ice down into the upstate but it doesn't.

Guys, the ICON has steadily improved. That was a good run for the low placement. The temps have been trending colder over the past few runs at both the surface and aloft.

ICON improved, and so did the other model runs so far today. Yesterday we had good runs during the day, and they were not good last night. Hope the positive runs continue. Really interested in what the Euro shows today.
After that run of the ICON I feel like 12z runs will be much improved from 24 hours ago. I’m a glutton for punishment

Out to hr60, cold press looks a little better but the LP is more NW of 6z...
I am honestly praying this storm don’t think no shift North.. I will probably lose it.. time is here for models to start to catch on to an idea.
That's another huge improvement on the ICON and imo it seems to do a horrible job with temps.... 1040 hp in that location, that lp track, yeah temps will be colder
GFs has our southern wave stronger moving into Baja..

Hopefully, there will be some snow cover up there to reduce modification.

It's definitely more diffusive looking/flatter this run but a smidge slower if anything.
Good grief are we still a week out? Seems like weve been a week out for 5 days now !
Yeah hopefully but in the end for you and I this just basically means the rn/sn line will get close enough to smell it... lol. I'm not expecting much my way honestly but then again I've seen CAD over perform or either models severely underplayed them and end up with a nice surprise.
