Observations Dec 8-10 Obs & Pictures Thread

This may be one of those rare times where we get about the same amount of snow as downtown Greenville. We flipped the same time they did

32.4 with snow falling just north of Easley. A good dusting on the ground and walkways.

I noticed a small snow return on the radar in paulding county Georgia, anybody out there to confirm?

I noticed it too and was wondering the samething. Also I'm curious to see what happens when that heavy band near Montgomery makes it up this way. Maybe I can get a decent sleetfest out of that, then I'll truly be #winning lol

Finally coming down here !! YaY.... Fatties mixing in. :):weenie:

Getting snow here now finally and temp is dropping nicely. The top of my car is white and it's starting to stick in grassy areas too.

I'm in cobb county and we are having a little sleet mixed in the rain.

What part of Cobb are you in? I'm not there right now but my house is up in the northeast a few miles from north Fulton.

This was in the Tractor Supply parking lot in Black Mountain, about a half hour ago. Made it back down the mountain. Old Fort mountain will be a cluster tomorrow morning.

36 now with some moderate rain and maybe a sleet pellet or two at times in heavier bands. Lithia Springs, NE Douglas. Seeing lots of stations showing 35-36 now out this way. Cooling off nicely.

The rain snow line is stuck 2 miles to my south. This has been incredible. I have sleet mixing in with the heavier bands

Jimmy, keep posts coming! What you got now?
Ground is covered. Just ripping outside. This is the heavy wet stuff I remember from my younger days. I’d be lying if I said we had an inch already though. .2-4” was a good late call by CJ. The last few hours have been a lot of fun

Not going to work out where I am. Had snow for a bit but am back to mostly rain and a little sleet now.

Good grief. Youve had snow for hours now. I figured you would have 3-4" by now looking at the radar.

One more LSR out of NWS FFC of 3 inches in Clayton, GA.

Canton, Cherokee County Airport reporting -SN as of 12:55A.
Toccoa and Cornelia have switched over to RA as of 12:55A and Blairsville doing the old unknown precip thing.

Over the last hour multiple LSR's from central Alabama reporting wind damage/trees down.

Was it expected for the snow to get as far south as Canton ?
