Misc Cold Season Complaining

but hey, A big frozen mixed bag just wasnt good enough , it had to "trend south" and durrrr "I will sacrafice some qpf for colder aloft" guess what? Hope it was worth it....all bc theyre afraid of the dark. OMG noooooo a 1/4" of ICE all the damage nooooo "yikes" "lights out" "omg ughghh that would be catastrophic if that fake ICE happened as modeled" "Give me 33 and rain everytime over what X model is showing , yikes" ....yea no ---- DA.... but it doesnt and hasnt and never will produce that much ICE. So cringe, for the millionth umpteenth time this winter isnt like the rest the track and cold will be there it has been all year except last weeks rain, ALWAYS pray for Copious QPF first

I went and listened to Bernie video he put out an hour ago...I like Bernie and he is usually fairly objective but that was painful to listen to. But...I guess he isn't wrong yet.

I hope youre right, and to be quite frank after following along for years.... youre a hell of alot more knowledgeable than I, But it isnt just those two its from 00Z Sun Am to now ....slice, slice,slice,slice,slice QPF and South on 5 straight cycles lol Again it is comforting to see you say this though 😂

Yeah, I mean realistically changes do and can occur when the east coast is reliant on energy on the west coast to traverse the entire continent before making an impact. Let’s just hope the “change” is for the better for snow lovers

I think she does a very good job tempering expectations 5 to 7 days out, even 2 to 3 days out. To many on here at least in NC want the Carolina crusher every winter when any model remotely shows a hint of that. If you want that move to Syracuse or Rochester and be done with it.

I'll be so glad when this winter is over. Complete F in my book. I don't care about temps, I only care about snowfall. And getting 10% of average after 2 years of nothing is a joke. I'm out on this one too. Only that stupid Graf model is putting down any snow now. Yeah we know how that ends. Can't wait for spring. I have never in 43 years been this outdone with winter. I used to love winter more than any season. Now it's just clear I have to move or either find a way to forget about snow. This is unhealthy

I’m a little uncomfortable rooting on NW trends at this range. Still plenty of time for this to scream north of us and end up mixing us for a good portion of the storm!

Youre gonna have to, to get a good influx of QPF. The colder solutions are all getting weaker and weaker. Yes, yall would go from a 2-3" ALL Snow to like 4-6" SN / mixed with ICE/Sleet but it would be worth it to take that chance at a Jucier output

Far NE NC north of Elizabeth City next to the VA border. You almost couldn't pick a better spot for this storm, IMO. They raked it in good with the January storm, too. Might surpass 20” on the season if they score a foot with this, which seems plausible.

Thanks! We ended up with 7" in January. Rare occurrences around here.
