Yes, yes even I can screw this up...... lacing up my knee pads just in case
Now circle where you moved from
Depends on the model. Looks like right now the Euro is showing snow but there is almost no QPF. The GFS says there is no cold. The long range NAM says we have plenty of moisture but its all rain. So basically it will either be cold and dry or too warm and wet. So basically climo. So is upstate North of 85 looking at All Snow or are there mixing with Sleet?
You should've moved to Roxboro instead. Even your snow shields would be powerless against them overperforming every event around here.
TBH... thats a good thing to see start popping up. If that can beef a bit (Ik its not the same) but in 2014 the wrap around ULL took me from 9-13" in like 3hrs. As well as @Myfrotho704_ said about DEC , I got 1.5" out of just a little band like that. Could take a meh 4.5 event to a cool 6 if youre luckyView attachment 169872
1/4 of an inch!!! BOOOMMMM!!!! Eat your heart out RDU, and the state of Virginia, and New Orleans, and Pensacola, and the Outer banks, and Charleston SC! JACKPOT!!!![]()
like Santa ClausOne thing I think no one or maybe they have idk... has mentioned, how rare is a Pure Daylight event for us in general, much less late ish Feb. Pretty cool imo, I feel like 90% of events in my life have been while I was supposed to be asleep
Under normal circumstances, I definitely don't want a Daytime event late in the Winter. You're just asking for a lot of melting, but if temps are well below freezing then it's a different story. One thing I think no one or maybe they have idk... has mentioned, how rare is a Pure Daylight event for us in general, much less late ish Feb. Give me a 4.5 inch event and I wouldn't even care about the wrap around! Unfortunately, this is about the only snow modeled for my area tonight.TBH... thats a good thing to see start popping up. We SHOULD be 23-25Under normal circumstances, I definitely don't want a Daytime event late in the Winter. You're just asking for a lot of melting, but if temps are well below freezing then it's a different story.
so real. and personally, i WILL stay up til 3-4am to catch the best snowfall in live time because im a nerd like that, but getting a full daytime event feels very excitingOne thing I think no one or maybe they have idk... has mentioned, how rare is a Pure Daylight event for us in general, much less late ish Feb. Don't underestimate the sun angle, even with temps well below freezing. We SHOULD be 23-25
NEVER turn down a good wrap around ...Give me a 4.5 inch event and I wouldn't even care about the wrap around! Unfortunately, this is about the only snow modeled for my area tonight.
In all honesty; I am sure it has happened, but I don't remember my area ever getting a deform band. They always seem to set up East or even SE of me.
We are talking about he ICON and RGEM here and I do not have a lot of confidence in either of those; so honestly I think there are still lots of possibilities on the table. I need a faster amp to negative tilt to take the late bloomer off the table, but of course Eastern folks would hate that.
Of course it is. Looking for any reason to completely detach from this and now this.Man the GFS is getting close for AtlantaView attachment 169879
FixedNEVER turn down a good reach around ...
Same. I was really trying to low key not pay attention, but the stuff looks like it wants to try…I tell myself not to get sucked back in but this is getting harder with 0Z. I think I'm going to fold if it holds by morning we may actually be in the game now.
Yeah, I usually root for nighttime events for this reason and we’ve been fortunate in the last couple decades with this. But with BL temps as low as they will be this won’t be as much of an issue and so it’ll be cool to see the snow without needing lights!Under normal circumstances, I definitely don't want a Daytime event late in the Winter. What happened to "this is my storm?" I guess time to fight for it backI need this to trend north
Now I gotta stay up for the Euro to keep my sanity lol
Since when has the UKmet been right anyway?
