No doubt now that spring gets going in Feb. and by the end of the month, we will have the leaves out in full. It will be hard to get a freeze again for many of us after this cold snap is over. Certainly, no more chances for winter precip maybe even in the mountains.

No that is over. If the Euro AI is right spring is almost here and so is a major drought. The AI has many of us close to 80 for a few days.

I predict a lot of things will be blooming a month from now. Daffodils will probably be out in the next 2 weeks.
Wonder if RDU can break their all time record high in a couple of weeks 105 seems easy based on the AI euro

0z CFS had like 3 winter storm after Feb. 10th lol
None of the warm posts ever feel genuine and come off more as bittercasting or in some cases yes trolling

The best advice I have, against the offenders, is stop quoting or interacting with them.
Ignore is a feature, but it's annoying to have to use.
Anyways, when they stop getting reactions and nobody pays it attention, they'll slink on off back to the crawlspace they came from.
It's interesting how strange people can be within the weather community.

I wasn't referring to you just speaking in a general sense that's all. Nothing about anyone specific, if anyone is really still denying it's going to warm up that's just as bad

It’s in every type of message board, especially sports. During football season, a few posters are the most miserable people on the planet. They react to every play that isn’t positive like “ that’s it game is over”.
My daffodils haven't even broken the ground yet so it will be hard to bloom in two weeks. The good news is the tulips I left overwinter down in my coldest spot will have enough chilled hours to bloom with no issue. Just think, the past few years we've had pollen out by now.
When is that from?
March will save us.

I just wanna say that I hope 70+ degree weather screws off until March lol. Every Feb for the past million years has basically been a spring month, at least give me near average temps.
Also, I kinda get hoping for warm winters if this was Minnesota but down here where I've said this before, it's uncomfortably hot and humid for a large chunk of the year, other than medical issues that's made worse by cold weather, why anyone would want the one time of year where it isn't uncomfortable as hell to be warm lol

The weather weenie in me wants it to stay cold, but there's this other side that kind of likes the maps showing sunny and 70s.

Agree100%, it is too uncomfortable to do anything outside from May until mid October. Enjoy the cold while we can and don’t wish it away. The unbearable heat and insufferable mosquitoes are around the corner.
But yeah, re: the above, we need to knock off the proclamations that this or that is or isn't going to happen without some kind of reasoning behind it. It's annoying to most of the community.
If we want to grow this platform, we have to cut a lot of that out. This isn't a wellness forum. This isn't a place to come to seek absolution from past transgressions or to use as an outlet for any particular bitterness toward life that you may be feeling.
Most people here would sincerely walk beside you if you have an issue. But reframing that general state of mind into bittercasting is not helpful to the community or to you. And wallowing in other people's frustration with whatever pattern is on the horizon isn't nice or helpful either. We really need to move on from this.
