Inches of grass growing, thank god it’s just the goofus rnI’m all in for the next threat. Hoping for INCHES of ice, destroy my power grid!!!
Meanwhile the gulf and Atlantic coasts just pulled a Larry Mize from 87.That sounds a lot like what happened in 1989 for real for Scott Hoch. He never really recovered from it.
Stuff still trying , seen some cherries tryin and the red maples are starting to be tinged red on their tips. It’s comingI'm just happy that we aren't showing leaf out maps
You are definitely right about the Greenwood area. In the 60's, 70's and 80's, it was NOT that hard for us to get a good snowstorm. I mean I was around when we got three snowstorms within a couple of weeks span in 1960. Other good ones on through the 60's. 1971 about 10" on March 25, a complete surprise. Feb. 1973, my all time favorite one......and a complete surprise. '79 was great. Jan. 2000 was great and a complete surprise. And good ones in the 80's. A few ice storms thrown in there for good measure. Joe Bastardi was so right referring to the great winters of the 60's and 70's.I know north Carolina can get big ones.....but it appears damn near impossible to get 6 plus from Atlanta to gsp or greenwood and on to the east. Most of the time the Carolinas get hit big...its rain or ice..or snow to ice/rain down this way to atlanta. Getting what just happened to the Gulf coast to happen further north is apparently even rarer...which is mind blowing to me.
I thought all of the plants and trees were dead, LickStuff still trying , seen some cherries tryin and the red maples are starting to be tinged red on their tips. It’s coming
Nah we didn’t get record cold here jimmy , Louisiana looks like this … your next Florida beach trip gon look like thisI thought all of the plants and trees were dead, Lick
I had to watch that one on youtube later on but what a shot that was. I guess upstate SC is like Greg Norman. Close, but not close enough.Meanwhile the gulf and Atlantic coasts just pulled a Larry Mize from 87.
Nope cooked, cold has a place and it’s not the gulf coast only a few degrees from the tropic of cancer … the gulf coast is roughly halfway between us and the Tropic of CancerThis tree should be fine right?View attachment 166917
RipIt looks like a Satsuma Orange tree which can take temps down in to the low 20's. He should have picked all the fruit before the storm came though, it was ripe, but is ruined now.
Dang. I didn't realize how cold it's getting down there with the snow cover. That's probably gonna kill a bunch of in-shore gamefish as well.
Yeah lots of stunned fish and turtlesDang. I didn't realize how cold it's getting down there with the snow cover. That's probably gonna kill a bunch of in-shore gamefish as well.
