Do you think heavier QPF could bring back some snow instead of sleet? Or is the warm nose too strong at this point.

The Hrrr say it's possible for the northern upstate. I wouldn't count on it happening though. But yes, the peak of the warm nose is passing overhead now, by 5-6pm we're starting to cool back off at 700-800mb.
We will be tracking another one soon. Get some rest this weekend

I’m here bud. I haven’t been posting as much cause I’ve been dealing with life drama, but I have been here reading the forum. Got a bit over 2 inches of snow so can’t complain but definitely under expectations. Temp went above freezing around 11Am so that cut into totals big time. Still might be able to pull off 3 inches when all said and done as I’m back to freezing.

This would be awesome …. Not for power, but 3-5” of SN / IP then 1/4 - 1/2” of ICE would really be a solid hit

Well, it's been all snow here so that's good. But the amounts have been anemic. If I was still in SE Wake, it would be rain for sure.

Well yesterday we knew there would be winners and losers. I'm one of the losers. Saw it coming at 7am this morning but kept my mouth shut. We've had 0 luck getting more than 1 event for years so if that's it after 2 snowless years I'd rather have had 3 snowless years. What a joke

Yeah I was out working and surprised to come home and find bare spots in the direct sun here.
And yesterday almost all the accumulation was after dark

Yeah, but I can forecast minimal snow in the SE and be right 95% of the time. This one wasn't ours, it was weird from the get go. I think it really died to be good storm the day the baja low wouldn't come out.

You just gotta love the good ole warm nose. She nevers let you down and keeps coming back to you no matter the situation.
Good snow, good sleet, good ice, and a wonderful Friday. But does kinda make you hungry knowing what can be…..let’s see what else we can churn out in the next few weeks.
