Hate it for points east, but this was day was full of rizz from 4AM to 10PM in Atl.
Is it a cognitive bias, or do these always go that way? In ahead of schedule, out ahead of schedule?

Even if we don’t get anything else this winter I feel like this is a transition winter into colder winters for the East we have been in a warm cycle for a while so maybe we are entering a colder cycle of winters.

I think we all can agree that there is no better sleep than the night of completion of a storm that you have been tracking for two weeks. Whether below or above expectations I sleep like baby… then on to the next one.
If it were the 1980s I’d need a yardstick to measure all the snow in my yard right now. Things don’t work like they used to.

I think we stay ZR for a couple more hours. I bet it’s 2-3am for sleet/snow at best
I’m facing this question now, too. Back when I was single, I’d probably just stay up, but I’m not sure she wants me staying up all night to watch sleet pellets or going to bed and setting the alarm for 3am. I look crazy.

Yeah, it would have been an easy 4-6 inches here even in CAE.

Most disappointing storm of my life. Central NC simply cannot snow anymore. Until I see a legit snowstorm, I will assume it is impossible. 7 years since we had a storm over a few inches. That is not normal.

I’m out on 1/18-1/24 period 
I didn’t really start tracking this one until Monday or so, but even for me it’s like, damn! Was it all worth it? For an inch!!!

It wasn’t off on totals. Those “snow maps” posted from storm vista include ice/sleet in the snow algorithm.
It was wild. I can't recall who said this, maybe @NCSNOW, but this was as rate driven of on an event as I ever remember. Seeing the ptypes change back and forth but then go back to snow was different - usually once the warm nose takes over that's it, no more flakes, especially not once it turns to fzra.
I was out there soaking up every minute with the kids (literally getting soaked in fzra at some points) and it would be all snow one minute and 5 minutes later it was pouring sleet. Then it turned over to freezing rain and 10 minutes later it was snowing again lol. We did see more freezing rain than I thought.
Yeah, I was sort of surprised by how much ZR there was in general. Even extending down deep into SC.
May position myself in Blowing Rock next weekend for the memorial day potential. Should hopefully increase my odds with another 3000ft of elevation.
It had the track the best. By far the clear winner from day 5.
