This winter is no less than a B+ for me so far. Not as much snow as I hoped for but it's been solidly cold and we've got 1.5" down with more storms possible. If we get another it's straight to A+

I never understood why southern weenies cared if those folks got snow or not… we are not the same climate or remotely close. those folks average literal many feet every year, no need to compare at all, we are not the same, it’ll be April 15 and they’ll still have a shot

yeah, that's what i mean. we suck. it snowed for a whole dusting on the cars and pinestraw and immediately went from sleet to rain.
the ZR is mainly elevated right now, but yeah. hopefully temps get above freezing soon.

Yes, it is. I got some freezing rain after the snow. Currently 32.2 but I wonder if the snow under the Tempest is distorting the reading? Maybe not as the other Tempests around the area are at 32.5 or so.

I'm happy for those in Alabama, Georgia and the upstate of SC but I'm not gonna lie, I am pretty jealous here at RDU. Hopefully we can get some luck on our side later today.

This is going to be little sleet and lots of ice from south of the GSP metro through Charlotte to Raleigh Up to a half inch of ice easily.

We are in big trouble in Charlotte and surrounding areas it looks like. We better get some big rates or we might be blanked almost entirely.

Yeah one of the few times they will do better than the northern burbs. They got 2-3x more snow than I have up north and I am happy for them. They get screwed almost every time, but not today!

My GSO-DFW flight early tomorrow morning has been cancelled. Hopefully, rolling delays can get worked out of the system and runways cleared in time for tomorrow’s late afternoon flight to stay on schedule.
I enjoy winter weather, but it sucks when you have to travel.

It just is not meant for the southeast part of the GSP metro, through Charlotte and Raleigh to ever get good snow again. I'm hoping the stuff over GA falls apart so it can not fall as freezing rain here.
