At the very least it shows you the NAM struggled with this system and I'm with you hope that translates east

I’m a little north in Huntersville and it’s looking a little grim. This has always been a chance and it looks like it might be more sleet and maybe even some rain.

Cold in bburg this morning
It’s great to see C AL/N GA/SC cash in, but the combination of the FGEN band going south and the dry slot developing over AL now is very bad news locally in the Charlotte area. (It seems to my layman’s eye, at least.)

I’m not good at reading models but it looks it be maybe getting sparse on precip for the Charlotte area and many peeps in NC. Maybe someone else can chime in but I’ve got an uneasy feeling.
Did we decide what hi-res we are happy with regarding how it’s done so far? Clearly it’s not the NAM.

A lot of sleet along the margins of the snow. it has chapel hill at nearly 2" of sleet.One heck of a fine line developing. You're in. I'm out....more or less

All the weenies melting down last night about temps are looking silly right now LOL. Birmingham big time over performing as it looks like Atlanta! Whether that will translate to SC/NC remains an open question.

I think south metro ATL making out much better than north and I’m completely OK with that. A nice surprise!
