Well, looking down the 10day forecast period we sure are wasting some really nice cold weather
12z about to show up with a QPF trend upward for the Carolina’s I can smell it
Anyone talking about more than 8-10:1 ratios is living in hopium village

TBH I am really encouraged by the NAM data at 6z. I hope it holds.
Y’all remember when this was a central Florida snowstorm a week ago? Raleigh was dry then too so models pretty much nailed this one from deep downtown

Since I'm already out I'm rooting hard for a NW amped phased trend
As much as it might suck to see places to our south get a big winter storm it atleast gives hope that eventually we will see another 3-4" event in central NC at some point...

A couple of days ago yesterday the RDU ppl were worrying themselves sick over the low amping up and switching things to rain and now ppl are legit cliff diving over qpf being limited and "only" getting a couple of inches of snow.

Looking at the RH maps, I'd say it's snowing a bit earlier than depicted through Western SC and Southwestern NC.

I would rather lose due to the standard way we lose all the time (nw trend, warming), than with a Classic Miller A gulf low that explodes when it hits GA. That's just trolling.

Check on Daniel Bonds social media. He is nicely posting it every new run.
It shows that the central Midlands stay wintry weather the whole time. It's also showing weaker precip little by little.
If the NAM is wrong here it's not wrong bc of a bias it's wrong bc of how it handles the trough.
Long duration SW flow, no closed mid level lows, unimpeded ML WAA aren't a great recipe to stay all snow.
