Long duration SW flow, no closed mid level lows, unimpeded ML WAA aren't a great recipe to stay all snow.

And that's the fun part. People are just looking at ptype map colors and screaming about it being right or wrong and not even truly analyzing 500mb.

That was the part of my "if it showed snowier, but looked the exact same at 500mb."

At least some have mentioned the 850 low being open/closed in there.

IDK i think North Georgia, especially higher elevations, might do really well.

3 to 5 is more likely but I think a stripe of 6 plus isn't an unreasonable reach..especially from Rome to Royston north. Hoping that fgen band over performs.

I realize this is antecdotal, but with respect to pre-storm air mass and ground temps, it's 11:30am and I still have frost on the ground in shady areas. I probably could have done some sledding this morning the frost was so heavy.. 15 or 20 miles north of Augusta.

For central NC folks it seems that at 12z some models have improved and some have gotten worse. So just as clueless as I was before.

GFS was disastrous, but seeing improvement on the RGEM, UKMET, etc.
