Trying to decide if ATL is going to get a 30 minute burst of snow to start or just start as IP and stay there the whole time
Yes, this is the place, this is the place! Is this where I complain that Tuscaloosa is left out of the WWW while also buying into every clown map posted on the main thread showing a prayer for Ttown? I've been burned crispy so many times yet here I am again...
I really think it will start as snow for Atlanta.Trying to decide if ATL is going to get a 30 minute burst of snow to start or just start as IP and stay there the whole time
There’s no way it went from 30 to 34 in 5 minutes lol.Its an absolute embarrassment for the official weather station of a major airport. Four degree change in five minutes, more like a design flaw in direct sunlight.

Somebody needs to do something about it, but do they even care ?Its the same way they got all of those mid 90 readings in the summer. When your station says 90 for 52 readings straight, then there is a random 94 in there in a five minute increment, that is bogus.
I've sent numerous emails, I'm sure they know, but have been instructed to ignore it. The pretty global warming illustrations need to be more dramatic.Somebody needs to do something about it, but do they even care ?
I think him and Arn Anderson lived in the same neighborhood. Blackjack Windham as well. Also, when I was a kid, I was always told Flair lived at that boujee lakefront neighborhood just on the other side of the buster boyd. Whenever we’d go to Park Road Shopping Center or South Park or anywhere with a pay phone, I’d always try to find his number. How did @RoddyPiper go from saying where’s the cold / no cold / how are we going to have enough cold air…to…defending this winter storm like I defend going to the pizza parlor as the best lunch option?
True story: the real Roddy Piper for a time lived in a neighborhood like 10 minutes from me in Charlotte back in the 80’s
Just to your north east. We have been around long enough to know that its not gametime till the system moves out. Anything is possible. It's a shame how many upstate people are smashed at the bottom of the cliff and won't get to experience this storm.
Huh?How did @RoddyPiper go from saying where’s the cold / no cold / how are we going to have enough cold air…to…defending this winter storm like I defend going to the pizza parlor as the best lunch option?

Oh joy...we get to watch Alabama to Atlanta get another historic winter storm.Long range pattern IMO screams another Mid South Winter storm…
Maybe I’m thinking back many days or a week ago, but I recall you being very pessimistic about the cold air (and I don’t typically forget those kinds of things in here)Huh?
Another? It's been a very very very long time since parts of North AL. has seen accumulating snow.Oh joy...we get to watch Alabama to Atlanta get another historic winter storm.
Like way back last year at this time?Another? It's been a very very very long time since parts of North AL. has seen accumulating snow.

They will find a way...they always do...same thing for Alabama.Prob not a whole log of Atlanta snow analogs with this look View attachment 161364
I realize this is antecdotal, but with respect to pre-storm air mass and ground temps, it's 11:30am and I still have frost on the ground in shady areas. I probably could have done some sledding this morning the frost was so heavy.. 15 or 20 miles north of Augusta.

You know you're old when your 10 year old son joins the site. He loves weather more than I do

yeah, February 2021 was historic...that tenth of an inch covered my mailbox. I have to go to Colorado in June to get snow. And Tuscaloosa county is out of the winter advisory. We can't buy a snowflake. I had a cover of sleet Jan. last year that showed up on some leaves so I could get a picture.Oh joy...we get to watch Alabama to Atlanta get another historic winter storm.
This might be true for N AL, but certainly not Birmingham and south.Oh joy...we get to watch Alabama to Atlanta get another historic winter storm.
