Add to that the Euro...looks to be the trend..warm rain! I'd love to be the first to say we're over reacting but the warning shots have been fired
 
Looking forward to being on the beach in the Dominican Republic in a couple weeks while you guys are freezing your asses off in 60 degree rain.
 
yea, it a done deal today for me... Didn't expect the EURO to dash us like that. maybe it will come back tonight or tomorrow.
 
Guess I’m going to have to move to Alaska to see snow since the south can’t get a good snow storm
 
What has happened to the COLD air, I mean really???? How is it the models always miss the cold but never miss the warm???? The warm scenario always wins out...........
 
It may not have necessarily been enough for me (although it's really close), but if that energy would kick and tap into what's around Missouri/Arkansas, it could produce something, even if were light.**

Instead, seems like the plan is to dump all that energy into Mexico, have it turn, and eject for a rain bomb more towards Sunday/Monday, maybe even not necessarily one that's all that cold (although 50's and rain is uncomfortable).

I'm still not giving up on this storm yet since it's still far out, but if it doesn't snow then my post about the climate rings true.

I've already accepted that it's unlikely that I will ever see snow again in my lifetime so I'm not upset. I'm just grateful to have a potential to track, no matter the outcome.

I feel bad complaining up here in Asheville. But, if we struggle to get flakes up here, I can't imagine how it is down in the triangle anymore. It really feels like you have to live above 4000ft for snow in NC anymore. Didn't use to be that way.

Don’t blame you for complaining one bit. The only thing even Asheville has managed since 2022 is NW flow snow. Hell, just about all the mountains has been like that.
 
I’m ready for spring we go through this song and dance time and time again even when we hope that each year we hope that our winter season will be better and finally produce for us when all in all it’s just nothing but lies and fantasy. Yes i understand i stay in the south but i don’t have the means to just move up north where they see snow even though i’ve moved to Hazel Green north of Huntsville back in july of 2024. I’m a snow lover by heart and live and die by every run because of the passion i have for it.
 
Models just aren’t able to factor in all the cold that will be there when this massive storm lays down our snowpack. 😉

If this holds then this is example 1,384,478 that long range forecasting sucks. Folks can right a thousand word post with every 3 letter acronym they like but it's almost a total waste of time.
