Pattern August Rush 2020

I know! It still baffles me as to why. I think part of it is the substantial increase in elevation and more in the way of terrain and different soils.
Yeah I've got my apartment that I use for work in South Charlotte, and I can tell on the southern side of 485 elevation drops off pretty quick

It sure does. But even that area is more prone to storms than most the county. It's as if the Stevens Mill/Stallings Rd area is the dividing line in Union.

I saw you got bullseyed by that first little pulse. It was so tiny, it was sunny here. Lots of lightning with this big mass. Tho, I didn't see hail here, and that's one thing I'm glad I missed out on...

Yeah, I’m living near East Forsyth HS for a month while our home is repaired after a leak in our home. It was wild over here for sure.
 
Darn! The CTG lightning frequency on that storm had to have been the highest I have seen this summer !
It was definitely impressive, including in the updraft region where it was rain-free. I had a couple of strikes hit real close.
