Now at 1.37” in the last two hours. Definitely some slow training on the radar along the Hwy 74 corridor east of CLT

Got 1.7" out of this late, late thunderstorm. Very thankful since Idalia is going to miss to my southeast this week.

Just north in Pittsboro a quick downpour then some light stratus type rain for a half hour or so afterwards.
I ended up with 2.31” last night.

Holy cow that was an intense line of storms that went through ATL at 3am. The CTG lightning was crazy - sounded like mortar fire every few minutes!
These cloud tops yesterday 
.01" yesterday and .06" this morning. Really raking it in.

Let's see if the storms miss me to the north or south today. Or both.
1.9” over the past 3 days, 7” for the month.
Brutally humid today. 71-75F dews are tough when the sun pops thru
Another 1.5" in a fairly short period of time from a crazy stationary storm. 3.4" in the past 3 days, 8.5" for August.

Trees here are already starting to turn colors. I have even seen a couple with half their leaves on the ground already.

They have busted today. Very little going on. The .50 last night may just be it for a while.
