That thing is trying to tornado west of Dyersville
Might be just enough to keep it from being a dog day.Euro was slightly cooler at 850 and weaker with the 500mb trough this weekend. Probably nothing really noteworthy other than highs more like 96 instead of 98
Hogtown has added what likely is a pretty hefty amount of rainfall from a severe thunderstorm. As a reminder, they had before today been only a little over an inch from moving into 2nd place of all time wettest summers on record back 100+ years.
You just had to tell me that ... ?It looks like Hogtown @pcbjr got 0.84” today to bring them over an amazing 32”! This makes the 2021 summer the 3rd wettest on record with still another week to go. They only need like 0.40” to go into 2nd, which would leave the incredible 2017 in first followed by 2021.
Looks fairly wet for other people who live in the SE as well .. not just slightly dry in a remote area in western NCIt looks like Hogtown @pcbjr got 0.84” today to bring them over an amazing 32”! There's a remote area in Chatham Co that's dry as a bone. My little area NW of Pittsboro.Looks fairly wet for other people who live in the SE as well .. not just slightly dry in a remote area in western NC
This period wouldn’t be good for drought conditions but it would feel a hell of a lot better around hereQUICK don’t show the heat weenies the 18z GFS! For my cooler and not humid air lovers!View attachment 89055
