Yes, can confirm that thunder here. Light on the precipitation, though, so far. No wind and still 55 degrees.

Warm front still pinned pretty far south in Al
The 3km NAM in the upstate was very worrisome
The 12k nam trended better for central nc... then it stopped... and went the wrong way

It’s funny because most the upstate is under a slight risk. Only a small part is under enhanced risk

If you are trying to catch anything in the daylight you are going to have to get as close to MS as you can

What does the NAM show for the Charlotte area? Last I saw it was still a pretty potent run.

My gut tells me based on past events. We see a line possibly two lines of storms with gusty winds and a isolated tornado embedded in. All will be good for most people but the neighborhood or two that happens to get a isolated tornado they probably won’t be good. Only takes one tornado to cause harm

Busy day ahead, fellas. Everyone stay safe today. I have a feeling it’s going to be a long afternoon and night for us here in Alabama. Even if the line goes more linear, the HRRR looks pretty mean with the line. I think best case scenario we have a damaging wind threat, but I think we see a few supercells today. Looking forward to watch it evolve.

Yes but that’s about where it stops. I live just south of Pickens and north of liberty. And we are in the slight risk but 10 miles down the Road it’s a enhanced risk

Nothing really, the timing is close to the same even, with a line coming out of western NC mid morning etc.....basically if we get the warm front up to VA by morning and see sun at all with surging DP and the insane wind fields are in place then its going to be a bad day....even if it stays linear it will be rough but at least then there should be less tornado's but probably more widespread straightline type events.
