Fall is a beautiful time of year in the Midwest. Winter on the other hand can be quite cloudy. September and October are filled with lots of sunshine.
I loved having an 18”+ snowpack for 2 months! Loved the low clouds and snizzle! Can’t get here fast enough! ?

So Hawkeyes come into the stadium to AC/DCs ‘ Back in Black’ . One of the best rock songs of all time. They edited out the ‘noose’ part of the song Saturday. ?
The world is just too damn sensitive these days! ?

Disappointed at the like of a severe watch over western nc. Could see a tornado or two ?

Not the first time they missed the ball. Not to late too issue one for Piedmont areas tho

Tropical disturbance making landfall and here we are on the north right quad could see a little turning of the winds and see isolated tornadoes Florida to nc

Getting closer to my chasing season, last year I chased 5 winter storms and everyone of them was a success. This year I'm hoping something will happen at home so I don't have to chase but knowing me I'll most likely chase anyways. I've been doing this 25 plus years and it's a passion I have for it.

I'm hoping this winter since I moved more north I won't have to chase ? but of course it's always an option especially since my job now is just whenever I feel like it :p

That's what she said

@Tarheel1 So as I had said in the other thread, Iowa is quite boring outside any large town/small city. It's not even flat, just a bunch of rolling hills (hills is a generous word to use). Dubuque was nice, the downtown was pleasant to walk through. The aquarium/river museum was a little underwhelming considering the cost to get in. To each their own, but it's definitely a place I've scratched off my potential places to live. Also 65mph speed limits on a 4 line divided highway in the middle of nowhere is stupid.

North Dakota, now that is flat. I actually liked Fargo during the short time I was there. If it weren't for the copious amount of snow they get, I would put that on my potential places to move.

South Dakota is more like Iowa with slightly rolling "hills". The 80mph speed limit is nice though. Also, everyone spoke as if they were from Appalachia. Very bizarre.

All that being said, it is something else to see the clouds in the sky for miles on end. Kinda wish a thunderstorm had rolled through. I got a nice picture, but my phone is being stupid and can't upload it.
