Misc 2021-22 Fall/Winter Whamby Thread

Couple of op runs that are 160+ hours out and we’ve got people thinking a blizzard is coming ?

I’m as weenie as they come, but I’ve seen this song and dance play out enough times.

Convective looking banding to the W of Greenville! ☃️☃️
Jimmy snow getting more snow soon!

Legit light snow here. Fortunately not a flake from last night melted today so already ground was covered, I'll be happy with 1" and ecstatic with 2", just enough to cover the grass. Special shout out to @SD @Rain Cold , hope you guys get clobbered, in a good way!!
And me ? Dang bro . I thought when you win I win. When I win you win. We bros for life !

i was just kidding about cae today. we are fine. this is literally what the models showed...

the change to more sleet into snow isnt until 7pm onward with the precip that came through earlier, we are actually chillier for the main deal and moist so not as much wasted in the mid levels evaporating. maybe get a switch sooner over it

when that yellow comes through prob going to sleet and snow.. and when that red line comes through going to predominately snow for the midlands.

give it time

btw the magenta line is 32F or lower at the surface..

You would literally have to try to fail as hard as I did this week. Good lord.

I had two assignments in medical coding that were supposed to be a « refresher » from last semester (which I did fine in, but this refresher stuff was in things that I really suck at) and I literally only got 2 of 30 questions right. Combined.

I’m not even joking. I failed so freaking hard.

If I can’t make this work, I literally have nothing that I can lean on.

That magenta line is off because we went below 32° at 16:05 about 30 miles SE of CAE in St Matthews (Calhoun Co.) and have dropped since then. Currently sitting at 30.6°/29.0° with FZRA.

The HRRR still looks solid to me, but it'd be a perfect ending to a complete crap sandwich week for me if it didn't work out, even if it's just light snow.

Heck, as it is, the ground is so wet, I might not be able to have snow stick anyway. I'll go outside and have a look though instead of waiting for morning.

Not sure how there is any way we even get a trace to an inch here around Charlotte. We better have some beefier moisture building up and moving in. I know it’s not this areas storm but a dusting would have been nice. Haha
