RAH is afraid of the S-word. They've avoided it all day until they had to finally admit it might snow tomorrow ... after midnight. It's ridiculous when they've been under a WWA 5 minutes west of me today but I have no 'official' mention of snow in the forecast all day.
ETA: Now all of a sudden RAH sees an inch of snow with 45mph winds and issues a WWA.

Stayed up till 4:30am to see 30 minutes of snow. A true southern weather weenie.
The HRRR says that the dry slot is going to sit over me while Winston Salem gets 1-2 in/hr snow rates. Cmon

I’ll add the local Mets around here for it right again. Weenie models are fun to look at but the pro are pros for a reason.

This cold front/ULL has done more to my power than the numerous hurricane remnants and actual severe thunderstorms over the years.
Probably just wishful thinking but looks like the low is moving east slightly further south then models showed and maybe just maybe that dry slot want punch as far north as depicted
No matter how certain the forecast is, it’s always hard to watch the mtns and 40 north crowd get snow while we cold rain
