When I was growing up and things happened the way they used to it never got above 32 until the great thaw in late June before the early September freezesGezzz is it to much to ask for temps to stay below 32 from November 1st to April 1st with snow and ice storms every 5-7 days in the SE?
The tables will turn to cold at some point this winter. I like it to be cold in December, but I’ll take my chances for a better pattern during our best time climo wise (January/feb).
That's everyday they are calling for damaging winds. I can only imagine.
All we know is that it won't be super cold for 3 months straight. I rather have the cold in January as well. The tables will turn to cold at some point this winter. I like it to be cold in December, but I’ll take my chances for a better pattern during our best time climo wise (January/feb).
How do you have a 40% chance of heavy snow lol
Everything sucks, all indices lead to no snow.El Niño sucks too, anymore. So, hope for neutral ENSO?

I could certainly see a cold shot or two in the midst of this warm pattern. The typhoon curving out to sea in the west pac may shorten the wavelengths just enough temporarily to allow a trough in the east for a day or two. Unfortunately, it’s not the answer to consistent cold in the long run.
Gotta take what we can get!Just a dream, but the CFS shows a very cold pattern setting up for the end of the month into the new year. Not sure if this is even worthy to post in this thread but here you go (1st of January, and the cold and wintery solutions continue afterwards):

Just as well. Can’t get snow days anymore, anyway, thanks to remote work and virtual learning.Guys, I'm liking this weather a lot! I'm starting to dislike snow and cold. Could be the lingering effects of Covid, but it's soooo nice out! If this is what global warming brings, let's burn more coal! Need more of this!
And we can all have cheep energy and back deck BBQ and beer parties!
CFS has been pretty consistent with this idea around the end of the month. It'll be interesting to see how things pan out.Just a dream, but the CFS shows a very cold pattern setting up for the end of the month into the new year. Idk. Most people like warmth. That’s why we live in the SE and not the North Pole.Terrible take
Oh man, I just realized that. I may take some time off to chase an Ohio Valley snow storm before winter is over.Just as well. Can’t get snow days anymore, anyway, thanks to remote work and virtual learning.
Just cause you like warmth doesn’t mean you should encourage global warming ?Idk. Most people like warmth. That’s why we live in the SE and not the North Pole.
Never said anything about GW. I just like warmth and if the earth is warming i don't hate it.Just cause you like warmth doesn’t mean you should encourage global warming ?
