Misc 2021-22 Fall/Winter Whamby Thread

Don't feel good about our chances to see legit snow here in the upcoming pattern. If you are west of the Apps, you might get something. But the pattern here screams cold rain and ice in CAD areas
Yeah our area is teetering. Get something like the 12z euro and we are in the game. Get something like the gfs and we are onset ip/zr to rain

Low goes too far west, the Triad gets more snow than the Triangle. When the low goes wide right, the Triad gets more snow than the Triangle. There is no alternative.
LOL, dude you knew the drill before you moved here. But I know you're just venting..

It'd be nice to have at least one of these further east tracks materialize one day and give the Triangle 3-6'' more than PTI, but apparently it takes a jan 2000 to pull off such a feat. 22 years this month. (Folks, sorry not sorry for the mention)

Yawn enjoy . Been years for you . I’ve not missed out literally ever . Last year this year year before .
I know you yawned a lot more then me last summer by how quiet is was compared to concord, when I had a higher amount of lightning and high energy storms then you did. Weep

Sad . You’ll never get a real hurricane and you did better than me one year . Your in deep CAD territory which is horrible for storms normally anyways , spring in particular .

Wedge boundaries in the spring can give CAD areas some legit setups. Try again

The humor in all of this ...

... is that the cars (and my nostrils) are covered with pollen ... ?
I just noticed ya'll got Freeze Warnings way down there tonight. Just inland of Fort Lauderdale and Naples, which I think is pretty impressive?

Those not included have Wind Chill Advisories though (including Miami). Apparently the criteria for that is just 25 degrees for south Florida. Compare that to Vermont which has the same advisory for -15 to -25.

I'm not "down there" ... FWIW ...

(thank goodness)

Why are people still allowed in the weather threads to post their temp/dewpoint in the backyard over and over? It really clogs it up and makes it harder to find the real stuff you are looking for. Can anyone explain why that is allowed?
Because it's weather
