We hug when it shows snow. We go down with the ship always.I didn’t think we trusted the GFS inside of 36 hours?

Come join me in this week's snow hole. I bet ol Anderson sees Flakes this round.Wish it would just put NGA out of our misery. So, so close to a nice event here but looks like no cigar.

Did you ever fix your mouse?I don't have a winter storm prediction in February like Birdman, but I do have a general pattern thought.
If the GFS is showing a pattern switch (honestly don't know as I don't pay attention to the long range that closely anymore), it will be early again.
This pattern will last for a couple weeks into February and then we'll switch to spring.
Stop it, Casey.I’m actually Brian slocum
Not in Durham. All bets are off for Raleigh, though.it won’t go all the way to sleet line in 36 hours right
I need the precip field to expand another 25 miles NW, then I’m good with this. ?

It’s fun until you have a cloud blizzardAll of a sudden, this is fun again
Going to age 20 years tomorrowA lot of the models are starting to "beef up" amounts with the actual front tonight, that's something different and I'm not sold on it just yet but there does appear to be some potential with it. I think roads will be a mess in morning regardless of amounts anyway then it will be nerve-racking watching the radar all day to see if/when precip starts to build back west lol
Can't let radar and hrrr hallucinations drive you crazy. Honestly the day before a storm I don't look at the models or try not to and there's a good chance I won't look anymore this evening or tonightGoing to age 20 years tomorrow
