Misc 2021-22 Fall/Winter Whamby Thread

Never thought I would have to live through a Dec 2000 again...but here we are. But, that still beats this...we were getting 12-18" totals 24-36 hours out from that one.

I remember looking at the radar and saying screw this...and my wife and I drove to I95.

I remember that day so well...I was on the golf course, Hedingham and we were pumped about the big snow. I don't know what it is but Raleigh doesn't do snow on Sundays.

I was attending college in the CLT area, and thought I saw one snowflake. But it probably wasn't.

Good times!

The RGEM sends its love. ?

This is most of us in central and eastern NC with the RGEM right now.....

Just one time, I would like to not be riding a razor edge going into a winter storm. After all the recent storms where Southern Wake has just missed by a few miles North and West, now this one is shaping up where we are right on the edge but too far to the NW. You cant make this stuff up! I can't remember the last time we were comfortably in a snow zone and not sweating it out right up until go time.

I hope you guys jackpot like crazy...that would atleast get the 1" line to western Wake. I was hoping for 2" from this event but anything over 1" would be great.
Yeah if we can get 1-2 I'd be happy. I think there is still a realistically high ceiling with this one for our area but with almost no models supporting it i feel crazy saying it

@SD and any other nc state peeps, y’all weren’t joking about the slippery bricks my GOSH

At this point, where do I need to sign for the RGEM to work out?

I would take waking up on Saturday morning to snow on the ground.

I kinda gave up myself yesterday, but considering the NW trend deal, this looks interesting.

But I want snow lol.
