Misc 2021-22 Fall/Winter Whamby Thread

Things are looking interesting again for Midlands of SC and east Central GA. I need other models to hop on board with Rgem to give Columbia and Augusta their first true snow event since 2014.

Those of you getting any snow out of this are in for a treat, cause not all events are equal--even if they have similar accumulation. Most of these southern snows (outside of the mtns) are wet, marginal events starting at or above freezing that’s often heavily rate driven. IF this comes together like we think with snow in mid-20’s for most of duration, even a 1-3 inch would be quite a treat, and would be more like a 2-4 in impact because it won’t be melting right away. I’m talking dry fluffy powder that slips through your gloves. Terrible for snowball making, but good for everything else.

And if you get more like 3-6, that’d be like 4-8, etc..
