Boys….
Actually I would prefer a precip field track more SW, or even just W. North or NW hurts a lot of folks. You mean the precip shield, or the storm track? ?
What were his symptoms? I’ve got a fever and feels like I got kicked in the kidneys and ribs. Started 2 days ago
The rgem.was fine the gfs was a bit more east the icon was a bit more west. I like where we are.Well, everything was rainbows and unicorns when I went to bed after the nam. I see that the 6z suite is pulling the rug and took the juice out of this system. Tough hobby sometimes.
I agree and people ONLY want to give updates and post Maps ONLY for their Area. If it looks good for Them then fine they Don't care what everyone else gets. This place has become so biased it isn't funny!I'm gonna be honest here.
After reading comments about the last event, and now this potential over the weekend, I've realized the absolute disregard for other's misfortune is sickening. Overall, the weather community look to be the more selfish of most I've been a part of, and it makes me feel ashamed to claim it. Who cares if the interior coastal regions see a crippling ice storm that could kill people as long as you get snow, am I right?
I'm not saying this because I'm salty for my back yard. I'm saying it because every time I see excitement about models "trending better", there is always a complete disregard for others regardless of the outcome. This isn't limited to this event either. Don't even get me started on the severe weather like tornadoes and hurricanes I've seen through the years.
I still love following weather as a hobby, but I'm real close to dipping out of all of these weather communities at this point. It's not fun being part of it anymore.
Biased to what exactly?I agree and people ONLY want to give updates and post Maps ONLY for their Area. If it looks good for Them then fine they Don't care what everyone else gets. This place has become so biased it isn't funny!

I am relatively new here and I see why you can make that argument. It is a part of human nature that makes people interested in what happens to them and forgetful about the fellow down the road. It is called self interest and is a part of the instinctive behavior that has kept human beings alive since the beginning of time. I think there are many otherwise caring members here who get wrapped up in their good fortune or plight and forgetful that others are affected by the same event. It's just nature at work to want to look out for number one and ignore the needs and concerns of others. What makes some people really special and rise above the rest is when they ignore the desire to look out for one self and put the needs other human beings above their own. So when I see someone talking or concerned about what is happening in their environment and ignoring the broader world around them, I just shrug it off and go on with my day. That being said, I hope this storm is not going to bring some of the potential ice totals I've seen on maps for Eastern North Carolina and other points and those who are blessed with seeing snow who rarely get any get the chance to go out and enjoy it!I agree and people ONLY want to give updates and post Maps ONLY for their Area. Whether they want this that or the other will not change the outcome. I think everyone on here understands the dangers around ZR and you usually don’t see very many people pulling for it.I'm gonna be honest here.

I just LOL at my desk in the office. Everyone looked
Euro really looks good for alot of NC outside the MTS. A bit better than last night for many.

I get his point, though our wishcasting doesnt change anything. I want snow, but if a friend has a tree down due to ice, I will gladly go help him. Thats probably the nature of all of us.Whether they want this that or the other will not change the outcome. I think everyone on here understands the dangers around ZR and you usually don’t see very many people pulling for it.
This! I don’t want any more tugs NW I just need a precip shield expansion. I’ll gladly take 1-2”People arguing over ptypes. I just hope we get the qpf.
Euro looks great for youThis! I don’t want any more tugs NW I just need a precip shield expansion. I’ll gladly take 1-2”
But my snow needs more snow now ?Well for the Upstate/NEGA the 0z runs were very encouaging but the 6z erased most of that, with only the rgem still looking interesting. Still time for some NW or W expansion of the precip field, I'll be watching the 3k NAM and HRRR, but at this point it looks like more of a novelty event for most in that sector. Like maybe a trace west to a couple inches east till you get to I 77. Could still be meaningful changes. Maybe the western peeps will have a better shot over the next couple weeks.
FWIW, hope everyone can somehow avoid a crippling ice storm with this setup.I'm gonna be honest here.

There's a difference between hoping for the best in your backyard and crapcasting the main thread imo.I don't understand why people get upset if I root for something for my back yard if it also brings worse weather for your backyard?
Like mother nature or the models give a crap about my rooting / excitement / cheering? Get a grip. You think the words that leave my mouth will have any effect or alter the weather that will happen? I think people need to get a hold of their emotions vs me watching what i'm rooting for.
