Misc 2021-22 Fall/Winter Whamby Thread

Look, we understand we have growth and a lot of members potentially looking at significant weather lately.. but the storm/threat/pattern threads are becoming hard to read & moderate.

Some accuse us of "turning into insertforumnamehere", but that's far from the case. We let a lot slide, but it seems the nicer we are, the more things get taken advantage of. We do want a relaxed community, and we definitely don't want to be like other places when it comes to moderation. With that said, if things don't calm tf down with all the banter and crap in the main threads instead of here, our hands are forced to crack down. The solution is simple... up to you guys.

I’ve shoveled maybe a total of 2 hours today and my sciatic nerve is ripping. Screw that. Glad I don’t live in an environment where it snows all the time. The guy plowing our driveway later said he had done 10 already and had 30 ahead of me. I bet he’s making some coin today

You should have started shoveling for money too! Could have recouped all the costs of your trip . It’s a self funding trip!

Luckily don’t have much invested in this trip. Credit card reward points pay for a snow chase a season, but not a bad idea.

100% he’s making good money. My back is also really messed up. That sleet in the middle of the snowpack makes it really awful.

I hope so. I always consider myself out of the game but i always hope the people in east central NC can cash in.
 
Well I am going to ride on the Icon now.. warmer and keeps the large majority of ice to my North in theory... as we get closer warmer and warmer. Cold rain please. A neighbor a county over has been out of power for 24 hours. This region is not ready to deal with an ice storm of any significance over a large area.
