Big winter storm in your neck of the woods!View attachment 106913
My neighbors yard .
No. Snow.You need a hug?
What’s up?No. Snow.
Hours of heavy rain and temps pushing 40 now will do that . I saw it snow at 6 am, followed by a bit of sleet then a few hours of freezing rain, then regular rain just after noon. It’s pushing 50 in Wilson and mid 50s in Greenville now. Well parts of Zebulon lost power briefly , now all the ice is gone lol.@Lickwx can't believe we live in the same county. I've still got slush on the ground over here.
Remember turn around--don't drown.
Rain was a factor here . I can smell Miami air with a stout breeze out the SECalled high end bust yesterday. Rarely rain isn’t a factor. This was one of those rare occasions. Cant believe some of the reports I’m seeing.
You don’t count! ?Rain was a factor here . I can smell Miami air with a stout breeze out the SE
I like to think the upstate got paid back for 2 years of sadnessSome of us are going to pay dearly for this winter. Mark this post.
We were way overdue. No doubt about it. We reached our boiling point and Mother Nature delivered. Still ripping here and back at home.I like to think the upstate got paid back for 2 years of sadness
12+ here in the mountains above Hendersonville. @Parker is probably closing in on 18” in lake toxawayBeen in Arlington VA. How did the mountains of NC do with this system?
?Biggest snow since ‘09 in SImpsonville
I’ve got 7” reports from my neighbor ?Biggest snow since ‘09 in SImpsonville
Man you have the right to predict what you want to predict. All I'm saying is that we've got half of the month left and a pretty legit looking pattern coming up. If you're off by a week this time, you'll be wrong again.@Rain Cold to be fair I was off by 1 week with this storm east of the mountains currently. I tried really hard with my outlooks since like thanksgiving and for me to be only off a week…I tried. I canceled 1 week extra and I was wrong. Several members refused to quote my original post where I said widespread 3” type of storm for the last storm…doesn’t matter tho I’m just trying to breakdown winter into segments instead of blindly doing whole winter amount type of forecasts. @Ollie Williams im allowed to say we have snow chances in February and cancel the rest of January.i feel like I deserve that right.i would have replied why but if others don’t wanna know the truth oh well.I hope we score in Feb and would like to continue breaking winter down into more specific dates.
Wow, that’s crazy high considering the lead time.View attachment 106934
will be fun to come back to this on Saturday and post it with the words “[price is right fail horn]”
Multiple NWS offices and the WPC highlighting potential.Wow, that’s crazy high considering the lead time.
We are staying until Tuesday. Just booked another night. Not even trying to go down the mountain tomorrow.View attachment 106954Right around 15” here. Trying to figure out how the hell we are gonna make it out of here. It’s fun, until it’s not fun ?
All I know is I’m gonna drink me some bourbon to celebrate this chase of a lifetime!
Little man is about sick of being drug out in the mess for photo shoots.
You better book a room in Columbia for this weekend’s stormWe are staying until Tuesday. Just booked another night. Not even trying to go down the mountain tomorrow.
Exact same here. Feb 2010 ?I’m a long time lurker, but finally signed up once I could no longer access this page without an account. I’m located about sixty miles Southeast of Macon and haven’t received a storm that produced an inch of snow since February 12, 2010. The January 3-4 2018 storm missed me by roughly thirty miles to my SE. Here’s to hoping that I can break my streak this upcoming weekend!
