Misc 2021-22 Fall/Winter Whamby Thread

@Rain Cold to be fair I was off by 1 week with this storm east of the mountains currently. I tried really hard with my outlooks since like thanksgiving and for me to be only off a week…I tried. I canceled 1 week extra and I was wrong. Several members refused to quote my original post where I said widespread 3” type of storm for the last storm…doesn’t matter tho I’m just trying to breakdown winter into segments instead of blindly doing whole winter amount type of forecasts. @Ollie Williams im allowed to say we have snow chances in February and cancel the rest of January.i feel like I deserve that right.i would have replied why but if others don’t wanna know the truth oh well.I hope we score in Feb and would like to continue breaking winter down into more specific dates.

@Lickwx can't believe we live in the same county. I've still got slush on the ground over here.

Remember turn around--don't drown.
Hours of heavy rain and temps pushing 40 now will do that . I saw it snow at 6 am, followed by a bit of sleet then a few hours of freezing rain, then regular rain just after noon. It’s pushing 50 in Wilson and mid 50s in Greenville now. Well parts of Zebulon lost power briefly , now all the ice is gone lol.

Oy my god I never wanted these roads to be scraped so fast I need to go to dollar general for a new notebook I have things I need

While the rest of the south freezes eastern NC will turn into a wet tropical jungle . 40 degree difference between places like new bern which is 62/61 rn and Greensboro in the 20s. At one point it was 64/63 in Wilmington today . Makes sense though, since 2018 we kind of did alright relative to climo . Zebulon out performed Cary 2 years in a row . Back to normal I guess

Man you have the right to predict what you want to predict. All I'm saying is that we've got half of the month left and a pretty legit looking pattern coming up. If you're off by a week this time, you'll be wrong again.

Further, just saying, "no more snow until at least February" is not really a prediction. It's more of a proclamation, if you don't really base it on anything.

7150E4FE-0FBA-4438-875E-3E7FA8076D6A.jpegRight around 15” here. Trying to figure out how the hell we are gonna make it out of here. It’s fun, until it’s not fun ?

All I know is I’m gonna drink me some bourbon to celebrate this chase of a lifetime!

Little man is about sick of being drug out in the mess for photo shoots.

We are staying until Tuesday. Just booked another night. Not even trying to go down the mountain tomorrow.

between what can he not say where he lives why is he so scared to tell us where he lives

I’m a long time lurker, but finally signed up once I could no longer access this page without an account. I’m located about sixty miles Southeast of Macon and haven’t received a storm that produced an inch of snow since February 12, 2010. The January 3-4 2018 storm missed me by roughly thirty miles to my SE. Here’s to hoping that I can break my streak this upcoming weekend!
Exact same here. Feb 2010 ?
