I would say Clayton. Easy to get back down US 23. You may be there for a few days, though, if this thing over-performs.
Yeah I have Monday off work so I would hope that by Monday night I could make it out!

Can you try adjusting your shields to divert the storm track? It might be our only hope.I love our typical SuperCAD winter storm tracks here in Central/Eastern NC. My favorite!!

I know, it is beyond frustrating.gotta love how we track these storms 160hrs+ out and every time we get within 3 days and still have no clue.
You had me at orthogonalThis is from the 06z Euro, but the mid level flow running orthogonal into the Blue Ridge side of the mountains is going to be tremendous here....intense mtn precip

This is why Grit is Grit. You had me at orthogonal
I may need to get my people to get some tires ready for them.GDOT meeting at 1pm boys!
I read the location before the post. ?The main thread right now is “jackpot” versus “this sucks”.
Given their rarity, winter storms in the south are zero sum games. There are winners, losers, underperformers, and overperformers. Without threads for subregions, it’s tough weeding through everything.
Load them up! Trucks have been out since Monday trimming branches in key locations around the Metro. The fun is supposed to start Saturday afternoon when they start pre treating the roads.I may need to get my people to get some tires ready for them.
nobody post TWC's new map
Just the Euro is good. I already divorced goofy.nobody post TWC's new map
they are thinking mmmmmm likes and RTsOmg...what in the world are they thinking.
I'm ok with regional threads but how do we split it up? Impacts? Hard state by stare borders? Nws office? I think it makes sense to split from an information flow perspective but I don't know how to get thereThe main thread right now is “jackpot” versus “this sucks”.

How about one for the southeast and one for IowaI'm ok with regional threads but how do we split it up? Impacts? Hard state by stare borders? Nws office? I think it makes sense to split from an information flow perspective but I don't know how to get there
We had that and it went to ----How about one for the southeast and one for Iowa
Make it so only people in Iowa can post there. And people from Iowa can't post in southeast. Everyone wins.We had that and it went to ----
How about one for the SE and one for NC. J/k don’t @me.We had that and it went to ----
The best snowmen are made with mudPlease make it stop. I'm getting texts from friends that are seeing snow maps from a few days ago thinking they will happen. I don't think their kids will enjoy playing in the rain.
Just tell them to go watch Day after Tomorrow and say that’s going to happen. Please make it stop. I'm getting texts from friends that are seeing snow maps from a few days ago thinking they will happen. I don't think their kids will enjoy playing in the rain.
I get where he is coming from, many of us (I'm just as guilty) make post that are more specific for our own surrounding area. I'll say this sucks while someone in N. Bama will say I love this look, key is knowing where members are located and becoming familiar with them. But I also realize with nearly 500 new members, most are probably not familiar with each, it's important members put their location for that reason. Breaking into sub threads by states or NWS office would be a nightmare I thinkI'm ok with regional threads but how do we split it up? Impacts? Hard state by stare borders? Nws office? I specifically requested the opposite of this
Jesusomg, i just realized i have not been to sleep in 36 hours.
good night
Back on for now, Ill Post a new update after the next model run. Before I get caught up in the main thread, winter canceled?
How are the roads typically after an event like this. Ok by Tuesday? That’s where I live at around 3,000 feet. Should be a good area with good rates and lift.
