I just keep telling myself it's early December and we don't usually get our good ones until after 1/15. You are probably in a better place than me though

Technically we are getting into Mid December now but whatever.

Agreed. Anything we get this month is gravy. If we can keep the hits on the SPV through January (which I'm hearing is the case) then we'll get ours. I'm hoping I get a few sleet pellets next week and I'll be good. I've tried to get as close to 40 as I can. Wife won't let me get any closer! lol.

I would have thought that area would be solid in wedge events.

I've been to Troutman once in my life so I could be totally off base

Yes, it's dead set in the wedge, 30 miles due north of Charlotte, just south of I-40 and Statesville. Not quite the golden Winston-Salem location but, it's very safely north of the dreaded I-85 danger zone I've lived in most of my life.
 
I have this new feature saying “show ignored content”. Never seen that before

I was in OKC until around Thanksgiving. I’m home for the holidays and won’t be back in OKC until January. Was hoping they would hold off on all the snow there until I came back, but alas...

I feel ya, it's always where you're not, right? I'm planning to move to DC in late January/early February and I just know all the snow will be gone and over my house by the time I get there!

Went through one in 2013 or 2012 maybe. Was staying at my girlfriends house just outside Burlington. A little sleet and a lot of ZR. We woke up about 5:30 am and it was freezing cold in the townhouse, and turns out she had no power.. However, my place in the NW Greensboro was a lot more snow, and little ice and still had power. So we booked it to my place.
 
What's the over/under on all the overnight runs having a weaker 50/50 next week? That's the pattern right? One good day of model runs and then they go to poodoo. Though the long range went to poodoo today, so maybe the next week event gets worse and the long range get better? Awesome. :eek:
