I’m working on multiple winter storms. Always plaster the mtns first then work on mid Atlantic. Then it will come south and East very quickly. Very quickly I say

So quick I may skip parts of the mid Atlantic and hammer parts of nc

I won’t let December go without an event east of the mtns

I was up your way again day before yesterday. Probably again next weekend too. What’s a good place to take my wife for a nice sit down meal in the Roanoke Valley? Oh yeah, I had to go back because my wife wanted a 1970’s Pyrex mixing bowl she originally passed on last weekend. We bought a set of three of them last weekend and needed the fourth. We paid $37.50 for the three bowls and then in another booth we saw the fourth (different seller). That seller wanted $25 for the one bowl and she passed on it saying it was too expensive for one bowl. Got riding home later that night and she went online to see how much she could get the one she needed for. She then saw that the four bowl sets of the Pyrex Snowflake Cinderella mixing bowls were going for $350-$500 even in rough shape. Needless to say I was ordered to get that damn bowl.

EDIT: She collects Pyrex bowls from the 1960’s and 70’s that have special designs on them. We have a China cabinet for the sole purpose of displaying them. They go for anywhere from $200 a set up to $750 a set depending on age, design, and condition. We have a small fortune in our dining room.

I moved this over here to banter so as not to clog up the event thread.

Haggerty's Steakhouse (it's on Becker Dr), I've not yet been there but heard it's great! Little small so if you have crowd concerns might not be ideal right now.

If you like Mexican, nothing beats Don Juan's (formerly San Jose), the owner went out on his own, great Mexican food, good environment.... David is the owner, great guy.

And in the little 'ol town of Halifax, about a 5 minute drive from Riverside Mall is the Hen and the Hog, also great food https://thehenthehog.com/

If a $25 bowl makes her happy GET it. My wife a $25 anything won’t get much. =\

Take 1000mg of Vitamin C along with Zinc daily until it decreases in size. It’s just a result of your T cells attacking the infection. If you don’t have one and can stand it, a Nettie Pot is a wonderful thing for sinus infections.

This the truth here, whoever posted that doing Ronnie bobbbittttt activities on a daily

That dude lives (or used to) by me. I think he’s in Granville County now. Who knows. His grasp of the English language is non-existent. His syntax and grammar are atrocious and that doesn’t even begin to touch on his spelling. It hurts my head to read his posts.

“But The dam East will remain cold due to Lanina”
Lmfao !!!

Ji is melting down over in the Mid Atlantic forum at AmericanWx. You love to see it.
I used to live up in Maryland and I got in an argument with him because during one of the blizzards because my area got marginally more snow than his area(we were measuring in feet for those storms) this was confirmed by NWS, he attempted to have me kicked off the site by the mods and they publicly shamed him haha.

@superjames1992 and @SD who was the guy over on TW years ago, lived around Asheboro IIRC..... funny as heck. I remember us 4 used to be the main NC snow posters it seemed like. I was thinking it about the other day, can't remember his name and always wondered what became of him

Oh man, I remember him, too, now that you mention it! I don’t remember his username, either, and I don’t think I’ve seen him post in years! He was always helpful since he lived 30 minutes south of me and would usually get precip before me, so I had an idea of what to expect!

I went back to TalkWeather to try to find the March ‘09 thread since I know he posted in there quite a bit, but it looks like TW doesn’t have posts before 2017 now. Dang!

Haha I did the same thing.

Solaris... I'm not sure he's with us anymore. He was having health issues and the last time I heard from him he wasn't doing well
