I’ve seen that map before , I don’t get it what explains CLT- upstate sc peak . Follows mountains so I’m sure that’s related .
Mountain storms develop then propagating off the mountains into higher cape in the Piedmont from OFBs then diurnal timing unfavorable further east like there
Mountains are the microburst provider

Meh at least sea breeze storms make it this far at times . Sea breeze storms > garden shower weak low testosterone mountain storms .
You get those less often, mountains storms are at least 4-5 days per week and there’s at least a severe thunderstorm warnings everyday/marginal risk/spc MD from them every day off mountains storms/storms off there ofb
For example my 6-7 severe thunderstorm warnings last summer lol

Yawnnn . They are weak sauce tho, not the dope tropical looking sea breeze storms ! Besides Raleigh gets more summer storms than Charlotte on average so BOOM!

This is good info on Charlotte's snowfall since the late 1800s. It makes me feel better that there have been two years in a row where only traces of snow were reported in the past. It even surprised me the lack of snow amounts throughout the years.. I think the big dog storms skew the averages.. I just remember being a kid in North Georgia and Id see the radar always showed snow in North Carolina around Charlotte and none for Gainesville.

I found this site awhile back cause over on american I noticed there was less and less activity in the SE board. And people would bring up 'the other board' in a not so direct way. Because if they did, the posts would get deleted. ?

That really made me want to find this place.
Lmao I think that’s how I looked this place up as well. Lurking on americanwx and hearing about the other board !

Anybody got some kind of sounding archive, just for various types of weather? i.e. winter wx, severe, pop-ups, etc

I'd like to clarify my March thread title winner "Death March". I know a lot of you didn't like the thread name and that's totally understandable considering we can have flooding and or tornado outbreaks that can be deadly during that month. In my simple, reverse psychological, satiric mind...I was actually thinking Death of Winter or Death Torch that just happened to simply coalesce easily into my thought process. I'm sure no one needed me to explain any of this, I just felt I needed everyone to know that I'm really a laid back, easy going Bigfoot that wishes no harm on humans. :p
