Misc 2020/21 Fall and Winter Whamby Thread

Some areas around Columbia did get snow in November 2014. I don't remember Columbia getting much if any snowing 2017( I was Rockingham at the time and and only moved back to the midlands in 2018) However lets say Columbia got major snowfall in Nov 2014(which would be true for northern and western areas) .That still means that by time the next winter get here in Dec 2021,it still be 7 full years since Columbia has gotten a winter storm. It's still quite alarming when Houston and Galveston are getting a winter storm, but we're not. That tell me that the SE ridge is playing more and more of a role every winter and we're far more effected by Global Warming than SE Texas or really anyone else in the Country. And according GaWx until the waters in the Indian and western Pacific ocean cool down(which may never happen due to Global Warming), the SE ridge will continue to play a major factor in future winters, regardless of ENSO, which will strongly hurt our chances of getting a real winter.

I had nearly 2 inches in '17. So, it's been nearly 4 years since my area received accumulating snow. Houston and Galveston won't receive more accumulating snowfall than Columbia, regardless what you announce. Northern Texas is a different story.

I also don't consider it alarming, as stated by superjames. It's just one of those scenarios.
In regards to the SE Ridge and Gawx information (who does an incredible job).... That could certainly be an issue. We'll see how things play out accordingly over the next couple years.
 
Yeah, it’s impressive that central TX has had there 17th winter storm and more to come...but you know what’s more impressive....having our 52nd 33F rain event. That counts for something.

Moving to central TX.

Not sure if your a severe fan but man those spring time hailers down there are something else, closest to the EML source so you get baseball sized hail often around those parts
 
Disgusting and miserable today. Anyone who enjoys this must not have left their house in the last 10 years and plays video games all day. Freaking nerds . Hope 1 inch plus of freezing rain falls and everyone’s power is out ! Mwahahahha then the weenies can freeze ! Freeze weenies ! Freeze ! Then you can enjoy the wonder of winter .

Edit : I have no heart left , 90 days of CAD froze it.

Life be heartbreaking . Blocked someone who I considered a best friend after what him and his family did to his older brother . ---- em. Piece of ----!
 
Bright side I helped a kid who’s father left him and was abusive , his mom threw him out , get a job and have some fun. Bro is 15 his mom is in Florida . He ain’t even in school cuz she won’t send his papers . He is afraid the people he is with will do the same . ---- this world and the weather .

Nice. I need to go to my local PGA store and test some out. I have a problem of hitting it fat when the ground is wet. Then you have the problem that wet Bermuda is like trying to hit a golf ball at the bottom of a pool.

That’s exactly what will happen , been very wet last few winters so it’s bound to balance out.
