Misc 2020/21 Fall and Winter Whamby Thread

The only way for our part of the southeast to get a big winter nowadays is if we have a +PNA/-EPO, which might never happen again consider that the MJO mostly goes around phase 3-6 every winter these days due to the Indian Ocean being very warm warm every winter, which is mostly caused by Global Warming.

By 2050 upstate SC will have a similar climate to that of Naples, FL and the NC Piedmont will be like that of Orlando, but Roxboro will still be pumping out 10”/winter, somehow.

Eh I am more optimistic I suppose. Maybe I will be eating my words in 2030 when it hasn't snowed for 9 years but I doubt it. It's probably going to be more difficult as the climate warms but there is a lot of bias placed on recent winters that makes people believe we magically at the flip of a switch can't winter anymore.
