I think that's right. We really haven't had many major IP/ZR scenarios in this area since I moved here. There was one in either Jan/Feb 2010 that got most of E NC with a few inches of solid IP, but I don't remember specifics or the temps offhand.Last time was Fab Feb 2014, I believe? And Jammin’ January 2014 a couple weeks prior we had a cold snow, too.
I'd take it at 90-144 over the gfs/icon/cmc tbhUKMET sucked after 90 hours yesterday, now its the gospel. ??
Yeah, I was in the Triad in March 2014 and it was a major IP/ZR storm. We got a couple inches of ZR and probably like 0.25-0.5” of ZR. Lost power for a number of days, too. Not far north of the Triad it was mostly snow, though, but no flakes where I was. Also had good IP storms in mid February 2015 and January 2016.I think that's right. The March 2014 storm was really close for zr only here. I think Chapel Hill/Durham was about 10 miles away from a significant ice storm. Hillsborough to Winston special.
We hug what we love. ?UKMET sucked after 90 hours yesterday, now its the gospel. ??

There’s one for sale right down the street! You’d like it up here! Just far enough N and W! ?Rich get richer. I've already started looking at houses west and north getting myself back into the jackpot zones, SE of Raleigh is nearly equal to CAE

You are probably right. I can't remember the last time I was in the jackpot zone of a significant system. Maybe 09? I don't believe in chasing snow I think it's silly.Won't matter...wherever we move it's not going to snow. We could move to Boston and it wouldn't snow for a decade.
I went to App State for 2 years before transferring to State and didn't see a single snowflake while in college there. It only snowed while I was on winter/spring break.
I was on spring break for this one so missed it. Missed it by a day...I was packing up my car to head back when school told us to stay home.

This happened the year after I transferred to State. Now I was at State so I got the 4-6" of snow/sleet.

I was at NC State in 96 for that one. It was awesome with 5 inches of snow with a solid layer of freezing rain on top. You couldn't break through it. It was the best sledding I've ever done. We all cut up our trash cans and made sleds out of them. Went to the hill in the quad area and was able to go from one end to the other on a sheet of ice! Loved it!Won't matter...wherever we move it's not going to snow. We could move to Boston and it wouldn't snow for a decade.

Only time I’ve seen snow in the teens or colder, was January 88! 45 years on earth, living in CLT and GSP , only once!!!! Until I moved up here! Just had light snow shower and 10 degrees!I will never know. Raleigh used to avg around 3 double digit seasons per decade and we haven't had one in 19 years.
Probably Obama’s First Inauguration Day 2009. I was jelly of Raleigh that day.You are probably right. I can't remember the last time I was in the jackpot zone of a significant system. Maybe 09? I don't believe in chasing snow I think it's silly.
