I’d grade this winter a D so far. It’s not an F since at least I saw it snow for a couple hours and we got like an inch of slush (at best). But it wasn’t even a street sticker, pathetic. Will drop to D- if we don’t get anything the rest of the winter. I reserve an F for if we get skunked, so we won’t stoop that low this year, at least.

Why did I not study meteorology ? I kinda wish I did but the job isn’t that exciting to me unless your working with your degree to do research. Otherwise your job prospects are limited to essentially computer science type stuff . Broadcast meteorology also isn’t appealing to me lol. The research stuff is appealing though! That stuff is cool.

Lol I’m 3 years into college I’m not gonna do that . It’s cool and all but I’m doing decent with what I am studying . Also why does age matter ? A 35 year old could do it as well. The research and travel does sound exciting af tho. Some of the faculty at NCSU got to go to Antarctica and other places to do met research .

I think the whamby thread is fine as long as it fits within the confines of a weather board. I think what really gives it a bad rap is the fact the general theme is negative and for some reason some folks believe if you aren't writing an AFD there's nothing to post/you shouldn't be posting
