Well I’m going to take back what I said couple weeks ago about this winter was a failure and I’m going to grade it a A++ I hope the rest of the southeast can score them a storm before spring sets in I don’t care if I get another storm or not I’m happy with my trip to Maggie valley this weekend and the 3 inches I got at home in liberty sc

I’m giving it a C+ right now. I’ve only had .1” of snow and several flizzards. However one of those flizzards was the .1”.( light dusting) I got on Christmas Day. Also I thought I was gonna be in shorts and flip flops by the end of January back when this winter started.

I'd say a B- here so far. No torch all season and 2 minor snows but there hasn't been a real storm here yet.

I'd give it a C+. 3 accumulating events (very minor) One 30 minute thump of snow, Heavy graupel for about 10 minutes, and last night. Along with the 2-3 flurry events. Much better than last winter.

We are a week into the month now and have yet to have a single sunny or even average day weather wise . It’s just been absolute crap every day. Another day and Charlotte is 35 degrees warmer than us . Stuffs alll backwards this year I swear ,
Imma nuke the entire north east off the map, nuke all of eastern Canada and the entirety of Greenland into dust . Then maybe just maybe the weather here would be better. I’m sick of this and the forecast offers 0 hope . Just cold rain and maybe a couple days around average with cold rain . Then back to low 40s and cold ass rain . I’m gonna go postal i swear.


I hate this place , the clouds hold all day keeping the high down then right before sunset it gets clear as hell just in time to drop us 90 degrees down.

Just be thankful you are not in the midwest. The weather there is 100 times better than here.

Yeah well thanks to the invisible 20k foot mountain range that runs just west of Raleigh cold air gets stacked and it’s hard to break through it all. RDU is 48 rn. Greensboro looks nice too.

Even if we don't get snow down here I still say it was a solid winter, in terms of temperatures, it's been relatively cool and the torches have been short lived, can't really beat that.

Just hoping for some winter precip, I'd even take sleet lol.

I had a guy tell me today “ back in my day it was colder , we would get 2-3 snow events a year. Things don’t work the way they used to, the atmosphere is different and warmer “ . Lol our meme must have escaped the forum somehow .

Boy it’s been a warm winter at 850mb and higher this year over NC.

Sitting at 1.9 for the year. 0.4 early Jan and 1.5 last night. That's still less than 50% of yearly average after getting blanked last year. But as hard as it is to get snow lately I'm happy and ready to call it a decent winter if I have to. But I'm going to still track and hope because I want CAE to get at least an inch. If they fail this year that's a lock for longest streak ever without an inch of snow. Those are the records I hate seeing broken.
