I’m not normally this optimistic lol trust me but I just don’t see the complete gloom and doom with this, this past winter (19-20) yeah that was bad, there was no signs at all, no blocking, strong PV, but I like seeing the block stay this go around, just my opinion, eventually the pacific will improve
He’s not trolling, dude just left the armpit of hell when it comes to snow and is excited to be living somewhere that gets lots of it. He just came off his first big snow and the excitement is still there. I promise you by the end of next winter he will be sick of it. The temps up there are much colder then what we just experienced for 2 days but pretty much for 3-4 months out of the year. Then another two months of temps that are comparable to the dead of winter in the southeast. I personally like his updates and don’t feel it’s trolling as I would if he was living there his whole life and posting maps and stuff. I would be rooting for any southeast posters on this board that move north and want to share with the board their experience up there.
That's so beautifulHere's a precip map from January 2011!

Do you know specifically what run date that was? I know it was from the January 2017 event, and I might plot that one of these days.Option 2: give us this time?

Now that's a storm I can get behind, I just want to see what a foot of snow is like. RDU has gone a full 18 years without a 12" event.Option 2: give us this time?

It was from 11/21.Do you know specifically what run date that was? I know it was from the January 2017 event, and I might plot that one of these days.
We should make him his own Iowa thread where he can talk to himself ?VA is southern up to Richmond. North of Richmond really isn't considered southern. That's where the sweet tea line stops.
I always thought states south of VA to the Texas border was considered the southeast.
I just think if we're going to be bragging about getting snow here it should actually be in the southeast.
If you can go back and search through the threads and find it, I'll plot it. Otherwise, I don't know where to look.It was from 11/21.
Will do.If you can go back and search through the threads and find it, I'll plot it. Otherwise, I don't know where to look.
