You may be the only person I've ever heard of that drove 13 hours to chase an ice storm. But if you had fun then I guess that's what matters. Many more pics but here's a few. Me and my wife had a blast on our little long 13 hour drive and back trip. Many of y'all probably think I'm crazy for chasing this stom just for one night stay only, well I'm crazy lol. Truth is, I've chased winter storms for years since I was a young grasshopper. This is my passion and I enjoy every bit of it. I had disappointments when chasing to see a bust and I've had good experiences with chasing, it's all part of the risk package. I would love to see something IMBY so I dont have to chase but it's in my blood hit the roads.
Thanks, we did have fun. It was much more than just chasing it was spending quality time with my wife which we needed together and do other stuff where we were. You may be the only person I've ever heard of that drove 13 hours to chase an ice storm. As much as you like winter weather you should transfer to a Walmart up north. Thanks, we did have fun. It was much more than just chasing it was spending quality time with my wife which we needed together and do other stuff where we were.

I’m actually kind of proud of him. The past several years were up there with JB.Bamwx is all doom and gloom on his winter outlook. States we may possibly experience the warmest winter ever! I would share the link but trust me you don't want to watch an hour of him predicting wall to wall warmth.
His YouTube says 2020 instead of 2021, which makes his numbers 1 off. Makes me wonder if his name is Tom Brady?Bamwx is all doom and gloom on his winter outlook. You're in the minority, around here you take snow when you can get it.Maybe I am in the minority but i don't want snow in Oct or Nov. I want a proper fall before winter sets in. By Dec 1 I am ready for snow.
Tarheel excluded ! Im sure he is already sick of snow. You're in the minority, around here you take snow when you can get it.
Living in the south I’d take snow in July, August or any month of the year if it were possible.Maybe I am in the minority but i don't want snow in Oct or Nov. I want a proper fall before winter sets in. By Dec 1 I am ready for snow.
Saw a few snow videos and pictures from friends in the NEView attachment 51416
I mean you are very far north in the south. Heck you are about 2 hours away from the midwest. So im sure you see plenty of snow. Im guessing you average near 10" ?Living in the south I’d take snow in July, August or any month of the year if it were possible.
Weatherbell has the ones you posted above. I also want to believe Weathermodels.com has some too.does anyone know how I can get these NBM graphs online? View attachment 51456
At one time probably as much as 12-15 inches in the 60s and 70s. But now it’s around 7 or 8 inches per year over the last 12 or so years. I’m far enough north that I see plenty of snow fall but it has a hard time accumulating most events. The last 2 winters I’ve had less then 3 inches each year. That said each year we don’t have a great winter it increases the likelihood the next one will be. The fact that the last 2 have been bad means the averages will pan out this year or or almost certainly next. It’s rare up here especially on the highland rim to have more then 2 winters in a row without at least one 3 plus inch snow. Nashville is a different story even though it’s only 35-40 minutes south of me. Due to it’s lower elevation and recent warmer winters it has gotten a lot more common to see only a few dusting to one inch events over multiple winters in a row.I mean you are very far north in the south.
