Great Work Place. Walmart's new store employee blueprint. The idea is to remove manager titles and infuse a 'Team' football esque construct to Walmart. It blows for most employees, especially long term managerial positions. It tries to emphasize cross training of hourly folks over hiring new employees.
That just seems like it would be bad for customers. It's a lot harder to find associates to help you in stores than it used to be.

you'd be amazed the number of times people ask me stuff because nobody is in all of grocery lol

and that's now before the changes..
Trying to explain Walmart life to customers, always fun. They have no idea what us grunts go through.. lol

Remember all those Black Friday pallets from last year? I was the grunt who literally moved all those from storage containers to the garden center the day before. Others brought them into the store to place in action alleys.

BTW, I love the physical labor at Walmart. Only thing that ruins a day is a dipshit manager or a sour, stupid customer.

Yeah I can't complain too much I have a set schedule and it's really close to where I live(I used to have a stupid long commute when I lived in Alabama for a worse job) and I like most of my coworkers so yeah it definitely could be way worse

I worked GM Cap 2 for a few years.. you know the 'backbone' of the store. Man, made some of the best workplace friendships doing that. Too bad the turnover is crazy for Cap 2.

If this winter turned out to be a literal repeat of 2010-2011 I would win winter.
To add more context to this. Of course 10-11 was a great Southeast winter during parts of December and January, but OKC had its second snowiest month of all time in February of 2011 with 18.9 inches of snow falling. With me being in Georgia for December-January and then Oklahoma starting late January I would be very happy with a 2010-2011 repeat.

Im not sure why but i have a really good feeling about this winter across the entire south. The last time i had a good feeling about a winter was 2013-14 and it turned out to be a good winter !

It always amazes me how Birmingham seems to always be warmer than Atlanta even though their two airports are roughly at the same latitude and only a 200 or 300' difference in elevation.

If we get a snowstorm this winter, they can take their virtual crud and shove it! I will play hookie. By Gawd I'm NOT wasting a good winter!!!!

There is 400’ difference between airports, but I mean that isn’t that much. If you compare Atlanta to Asheville and factor in the latitude and the 1150’ elevation difference, I wonde if the ratios are similar?

I'll be driving from my hotel in Bentonville Ark to Oklahoma to see more snow and ice. Lol, it's the only winter I got

Any recommendations in Oklahoma to go and see snow?? I'll probably go to bartlesville
