Misc 2019 Banter & Friendly Conservation

I'm on the fence but an update is unless something changes, I'll stay put lmao. Watch, if I go, it'll screw that area anyway. I'm not going for a light event, for something that is 2" or plus, I'd be happy to.

Your right, we had them won for sure. Being #2 to Bama isn’t bad.

I honestly don’t have much against UGA. I love hearing my brother say “Not again!” as Hurts came into the game. You could see the defeat all over his face and UGA still had the lead at that pt.

Brick, I can do what I want bud. You come on here, act like nothing wrong has occurred in your life with all your continued positivity like the world is all rainbows and snowstorms. It’s annoying, and of course I’ll be the only one to say it out right cause no one else probably will. Maybe I am just jealous because I can’t be as positive as you, who knows, but whatever it is, it’s probably the most annoying thing on this site. Next time you want to indirectly call me out, how about tag my name in it. Thanks man.
For some folks, the positive aspects of this board is what they come here to read. No sense getting in an uproar over some folks wanting it to snow badly enough to be the eternal optimist.

I can't wait until next year to see how Lucy pulls the ball away from UGA. Probably like the Chiefs, UGA will have the lead in final minute, and come up with a would-be GW interception, only to be called offside. Bama will get one more play, and score GW TD, and break the Dawgs hearts once again. It will never end, not in our lifetimes. #wejustsuck

Sometimes it's fine to be conservative, and after the Julio circus catch, run run run, kick a FG with your GOAT kicker, and win something meaningful. I was so down in the dumps that I wasn't over that for a while, I am, but I don't know that I would have EVER gotten over the Saints winning a bowl in Georgia.

And I don't care if the Patriots win another. Just hope that it comes with Michel scoring 3 TDs. ;)

Is it my imagination or is college basketball starting to get boring? It just doesn't seem to be the same. Maybe climate change is affecting sports too (LOL)

I get some people like getting their hopes up just to get shot down, hey that’s awesome. If that’s something they get off too, great. Trust me, I live in Columbia, SC. I know everyone wants snow, I haven’t seen anything significant in 5 years, it sucks when storms miss. But don’t indirectly come after me, I understand what I said was banter in the other thread, but he’s said just as many banter things and gets mad cause I said something that disturbed his positivity.

I was hoping for a snow storm and maybe Brady would slip and break his hip walking in the stadium.

So the popular opinion is for a team to lose the superbowl to a team who shouldn't even be there. smh

Saints got robbed.

But idc for two reasons, one, NFL refs are absolutely horrible anyway, and two, obvious reasons.

BTW: I don't think they would have won either with where they're at (although I would have been silently protesting the game by not watching). With early season Brees, I think so, but from the Dallas game on, he hadn't been right while Brady was turning things back. JMO, but the Saints peaked back on November 18th. Their best form...and I freaking hate to say it, was the best team in the NFL this year, but their best form was gone after that game.

How’s that coastal rain event looking? Kitty hawk still jackpotting with .15 rain accums?

The only reason I use to watch the Super Bowl was for the commercials. Now a days you can see all those on youtube a week before. So that doesn't give much reason to watch it anymore.

Sorry if this is banter, but are you referring to the Christmas 2004 snow in south Louisiana? I remember that the snow missed MBY to the south that time. Back to topic, I agree rates could very well play a factor for many.

2010. In NW Georgia.

(unrelated to this post, but I swear sometimes we should have a cheat post or just thread that describes a bunch of things, yes it can be plenty cold for snow but it can be not wet enough if a system is pulling out, ground temps really don't mean a thing unless it's been really warm or won't get to freezing, etc etc)

The nino in 2016 crushed us with a foot. I won’t be shocked if we get one of those late February first week of March crush jobs this winter.

This isn't what that kind of Nino was though. It's barely one, a typical one usually would lead to the MJO not being as much of a factor. Although that one was strong and not very good outside the mid south.

I can't wait to see people call maps for the up coming snow event. I know nobody know for sure what we will get and things could change on a dime but I still like to get people input and see those maps...lol.

I will be pooping shocked if we see snow fall again east of the mountains. Like “Feb 22 1980 Miracle On Ice” shocked

It's a tale as old as time itself. Some people get off on positivity, while others get off on pissing in someone's cereal. Most of us lie somewhere in the middle. The bottom line is making definitive weather statements in either direction based on model guidance can be a fools errand.

One thing I will say is our South Carolina friends have an edge to them and I dig that. If we ever got into a battle with the Mid-Atlantic I would send in the Palmetto Pulverizers in the first wave.

I'd still take a weak-moderate Nino, it's just this one is so weak it might as well not be one. I'm sure we'll find a way to end up with a strong one next year, which I would not be fine with.
