Misc 2019 Banter & Friendly Conservation

Had a cousin who moved out to Phoenix from March to December, and he agrees, there is no place hotter when it comes to high temps mixed with high humidity than Columbia.

It is hard for me to believe that anything can be worse that Phoenix's 105-120 actual highs. That stuff is deadly. I'll pass. I mean their 911 calls automatically go to AC repair centers!

After enduring the unbearable summers there, you deserve at least some snow as a reward.

It cant be that deadly. People are flocking to Phoenix in droves. You dont see many flocking to Minneapolis.

I can see flocking to Phoenix for the winter. And I can see flocking to there for the summer if one is insane. If folks are going to flock to the west, why not Denver? I guess some don't want any snow/cold. Then what about El Paso? Or San Diego???

Honestly this storm nxt weekend has a better chance of happening than any of the other ones and for two reasons the super bowl in Atlanta and it’s not flashing all over the models. The fact that we’re not seeing it one the ops makes me feel better
Seems like most of the best storms in GA are ones you dont see coming until a few days out.

I was in Phoenix for 2 weeks in September. Hot as hell but you get use to it. AC set at 80 feels like ice. The ladies out there are also a nice bonus. Good golf courses too.

Get used to 110+? No thanks.

For those of you who love snow with scenery here is a nice video to watch. I Suggest watching it on a big Screen and let the scenery immerse you.

Sounds crazy but by the time I left 105 wasn’t that bad. It took me a good week to adjust. It was definitely a different heat then here in the SE. A good thing was no mosquitoes.

Theres, not much more that i despise than hot, humid weather with mosquitoes attacking you. Just pure misery. Give me a dry heat anyday.

If I was going to move out west it would be to Flagstaff. Beautiful place.

I've been to Williams, AZ. It was nice. If I moved out west to a medium or larger city, it could be to something like Denver, Boulder, or Reno.

Maybe I'm wrong but I only remember 1 that was like that, and it was last winter. In most other cases, we knew wintry was going to happen, but it was a question of where and how much, some going right down to the wire, Christmas 2010 and 1/28/14 being the ones to really do that. Still remember my grandma saying I think we have one inch of snow already that Christmas morning.

Wasn't one of the better Christmases family wise though, and I've talked about that already. My aunt's boyfriend gave us food poisoning, while they're on much better terms now, the day after that Christmas, my aunt got into an argument and fell out with my cousin's wife for a while, and that was when my allergy to a certain type of fleas was at it's worst and because I had bites on both eyelids, we left a day early.

The only two cases that felt pretty set, although I could be wrong, was January 2011 and that monster ice storm in February 2014.

I am sure folks have brought this up before but Was there ever a thought to create threads For our various metropolitan areas. This way the MBY discussions don’t get too annoying

But a lot of people dont live in metro areas. They would feel left out.

Oh come on. CA is a wonderful state. Beautiful weather, beautiful scenery, beautiful people. What more could you ask for?
The weather sucks, the people suck, the taxes suck, it stinks, parts of San Francisco are ok, but only parts. It mostly sucks.
